# Activision Blizzard Company President Steps Down
Following the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing’s lawsuit against video game publisher Activision Blizzard after a two-year investigation into sexual harassment allegations, more details have emerged. Reports of systemic harassment against female employees have surfaced, painting a darker picture of Activision Blizzard’s internal operations. In response to the controversy, there have been calls from employees and users for accountability from the management. Consequently, the company’s president has taken responsibility.
Activision Blizzard’s President, J. Allen Brack, announced in an internal email that he will be leaving the company to explore new opportunities.
In his statement to the Blizzard community, Brack mentioned, “We want to inform you about a significant change in leadership at Blizzard Entertainment. Effective immediately, J. Allen Brack will step down as the studio’s leader, and Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra will assume co-leadership roles at Blizzard.”
He added, “Both leaders are dedicated to our employees, ensuring that Blizzard becomes the safest and most welcoming workplace for women and individuals of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds. They are committed to upholding our values, rebuilding trust, and leading Blizzard with integrity, inclusivity, care, compassion, and excellence.”
Analysts believe that while Brack’s departure is a positive step, Activision Blizzard must take further actions to address their ongoing harassment issues and repair the significant damage to their reputation caused by the lawsuit.
