Korean sensation BTS has a massive global fan following. With their chart-topping albums and singles, they announced the Map of the Soul tour in January 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour faced multiple postponements. The uncertainty surrounding the Delta variant and other factors has made it impossible to predict when such a large-scale tour can take place. As a result, a tough decision was made.
BTS’ label Bighit stated, “Our company has made efforts to resume preparations for the BTS Map of the Soul Tour. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we must announce the cancellation of the tour.”
Bighit added, “We regret having to inform you of the cancellation. Fans with tickets for the North American shows will receive refund details via email from their original point of purchase.”
