Dion’s absence from the “200 Greatest Singers of All Time” list sparks controversy.
Rolling Stone, a well-known music magazine, recently published an article titled “The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.” The compilation showcased numerous iconic figures from various music genres, such as Elton John, Barry White, Freddie Mercury, and Billie Eilish. However, Celine Dion was notably missing from the list, a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by observant readers.
Dedicated fans of Dion, who are part of a Facebook group known as The Red Heads, took action. Fifteen passionate supporters traveled from Montreal, Canada to New York City to stage a protest outside Rolling Stone’s headquarters in response to Dion’s exclusion.
“The credibility of the list is questionable,” remarked Line Basbous, the founder of Red Heads, who orchestrated the demonstration. “Our aim was to stand by her and ensure that Rolling Stone hears the fans’ voices. The omission of Madonna and Celine is perplexing. It appears the focus is primarily on American artists, which we find unjust.”

Supporter Charles Lemay emphasized Dion’s significance in Canada, the home country of all protesters. “In Quebec, it’s inconceivable that she isn’t recognized on the list. She’s been a part of our lives from the very beginning.”
Rolling Stone has not issued a response to the situation at this time.
