Recently, McDonald’s partnered with streetwear brand Cactus Plant Flea Market to offer “Adult Happy Meals,” which are larger portions of food with unique toys. The response to these meals has been overwhelmingly positive, with McDonald’s employees even asking customers to order less of them due to high demand.
The promotion is ongoing until the end of October, but some individuals are already trying to profit by selling the toys on eBay. Listings for Adult Happy Meal toys are popping up with prices reaching thousands of dollars. The most expensive listing so far is $300,000.95 for three sealed toys.
McDonald’s toys have been fetching high prices on eBay for years, but these recent listings are among the priciest in a while. Surprisingly, some toys priced between $25 and $50 have seen good interest, with hundreds being sold.
Not just the toys, but even the Adult Happy Meal boxes have become sought-after collectibles. Some stores have even run out of boxes due to the overwhelming demand.
One McDonald’s employee in San Antonio shared, “We had a line outside our store on the first day, and we sold out of boxes by 6 PM.”
