At the recent Academy Awards, the movie “Top Gun: Maverick” received six nominations, with renowned actor Tom Cruise in the spotlight. However, Cruise was notably absent from the event, prompting questions about his whereabouts. On a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, David Letterman, a well-known television personality, inquired about Cruise’s absence from Kimmel, who hosted the Oscars this year.

During the conversation, Letterman asked Kimmel, “Where was Tom Cruise?” To which Kimmel responded, “We’re unsure, there were rumors of production issues.” Letterman pressed on, questioning the vague nature of the explanation. Kimmel admitted, “It’s unclear, we’re in the dark about what really happened.”

Kimmel speculated, “Perhaps Cruise decided not to attend because he didn’t anticipate winning.” This raised eyebrows and stirred curiosity among fans and industry insiders.

Letterman subtly hinted at Cruise’s expected presence, stating, “He should have been there, don’t you think?” Kimmel acknowledged Cruise’s status as a Hollywood giant, adding, “He’s a key figure in the industry.”
