Last week, Demi Lovato, the singer, and actor, announced the launch of a new podcast called 4D with Demi Lovato. Lovato described the podcast as a platform to discuss personal thoughts and experiences with special guests, delving into topics like identity, creativity, and social movements. They emphasized inclusivity, stating that everyone, regardless of their identity or beliefs, should live life to the fullest in all dimensions.

In an Instagram post, Lovato shared that they now identify as non-binary, neither exclusively male nor female, and will be using they/them pronouns moving forward.

In their post, Lovato expressed, “Every new day offers us the chance to be true to ourselves and become who we aspire to be. I have grown up in front of all of you, showing the highs, lows, and everything in between. My journey has not just been about me; it has been about those watching behind the lens.”

They continued, “Today, I am excited to reveal more of my authentic self to you – I am proud to announce that I am non-binary and will be adopting they/them pronouns. This decision follows a period of reflection and self-healing. I am still evolving and discovering my true self, and I do not claim to have all the answers. By sharing this with you, I am embracing a new level of vulnerability. I am doing this for those who struggle to reveal their true selves to their loved ones.”

In the inaugural episode of 4D, released today, Lovato discusses their coming out journey with writer, performer, and public speaker Alok Vaid-Menon. Lovato mentioned that the conversation will not only touch on broader concepts of identity but will also delve into their personal experiences to inspire others to lead authentic lives.
