The highly anticipated game, Elden Ring, launched today, promising an exciting experience for players. Developed by FromSoftware, creators of the challenging Dark Souls series, and with the narrative expertise of George R.R. Martin from Game of Thrones, Elden Ring has garnered critical acclaim with a Metacritic score of 97.
However, players, particularly on the PC version, have encountered significant performance issues such as stuttering, frame drops, and screen tearing. PlayStation 5 users have also reported issues with save corruptions when shutting down their consoles. These problems have led to mixed reviews on Steam, with only 59% positive feedback.
Bandai Namco, the game’s publisher, has issued an apology for these performance issues and assured players that they are actively working on fixes. In a blog post, a Bandai Namco spokesperson stated, “We are currently experiencing some issues that are preventing the game from playing properly under some conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience.”
