Fortnite, a massively popular multiplayer game with millions of players worldwide from various age groups and backgrounds, is published by Epic Games. Given Epic Games’ significant influence in the gaming industry, they have decided to leverage their position to make a positive impact amidst the current crisis in Ukraine.
During the recent launch of the new Fortnite season, Epic Games declared that all net profits from Fortnite, including revenue from in-game purchases and Battle Pass sales, will be directed towards Ukrainian relief initiatives. The donations will support organizations such as Direct Relief, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations Children’s Fund, and the World Food Programme.

Following the announcement on Sunday, Epic Games shared that they have already raised more than $36 million USD through Fortnite sales for charitable causes. New Fortnite seasons typically generate substantial revenue due to the introduction of fresh content to the in-game stores. Epic Games plans to continue donating all Fortnite earnings until April 3.
