Facebook, now rebranded as “Meta,” seems to have made some advancements in technology over the years, especially with acquisitions like Oculus. Despite the idea of the “Metaverse” on the horizon, Meta is still working on developing technology for real-world users. One of the new tech developments includes a smartwatch that stands out from others in the market.
Leaked images of the upcoming Meta Watch reveal a small camera notch located under its touchscreen. These images were found in the companion app for Ray-Ban Stories sunglasses, where the watch is internally known as “Milan.”
Rumors about this new smartwatch started circulating earlier, suggesting that it might come with a detachable rear camera. The front-facing camera is rumored to support 1080p video calls and offer facial recognition features. It’s also expected to have photo-taking capabilities, as anticipated in such devices.

He criticized these watches as “closed platforms” and took a dig at Apple for reportedly affecting their Q4 revenue targets due to ad-tracking issues.
