Clifford the Big Red Dog is a beloved character in children’s media, known for his giant size and bright red fur. Paramount Pictures has introduced the first trailer for the live-action movie adaptation of Clifford’s story. The trailer introduces Darby Camp as Emily Elizabeth Howard, a young girl who discovers Clifford in a magical tent and learns that he will grow based on her love for him. As Emily’s affection for Clifford grows, so does his size, causing a series of humorous challenges for her uncle, played by Jack Whitehall. John Cleese also stars as the tent’s owner who reveals the magical secret behind Clifford’s growth.

Clifford the Big Red Dog is set to premiere in theaters on September 17, 2021. The movie’s official Twitter account is supporting a charity initiative where each like on the trailer tweet results in a $1 donation to the Best Friends Animal Society.
