In 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home was a highly acclaimed movie, especially for Marvel enthusiasts. A man from Florida was so enamored with the film that he watched it a staggering 292 times. His motivation was not only his love for the movie but also reclaiming a Guinness World Record.
Previously, in 2019, a Florida resident named Ramiro Alanis had set a record for the most number of times attending screenings of the same film by watching Avengers: Endgame 191 times. However, this record was surpassed in 2021 by Arnaud Klein, who watched Kaamelott: First Installment 204 times. To reclaim his title, Alanis dedicated himself to watching Spider-Man: No Way Home 292 times between December 2021 and March 2022. This equates to a total viewing time of 720 hours or approximately 30 days. It’s important to note that the viewings did not have to be consecutive, but Alanis had to fully engage with the movie each time, with no breaks for bathroom or phone usage.

Alanis was determined to reclaim the record in a definitive manner to deter any future attempts at breaking it. He expressed to Guinness World Records, “If anyone tries to break my record again, I want them to think twice before attempting it.”
