Foo Fighters, known for their rock sound, have taken a surprising turn by releasing a tribute album to the iconic disco band, Bee Gees. Despite the stark contrast in musical styles, the Foo Fighters have embraced the challenge of covering Bee Gees hits, showcasing their versatility in music. Their latest album, “Hail Satin,” pays homage to the Bee Gees and is now available in record stores nationwide.
To embody their new identity as the “Dee Gees,” a clever play on frontman Dave Grohl’s initials, the Foo Fighters have dedicated Side A of the album to Bee Gees classics like “Night Fever,” “Tragedy,” “You Should Be Dancing,” “More Than a Woman,” and “Shadow Dancing.” Side B features familiar Foo Fighters tracks, including live performances from their recent album, “Medicine at Midnight.”

This isn’t the first time the Foo Fighters have delved into Bee Gees’ territory. Earlier this year, they performed a cover of “You Should Be Dancing” live on BBC Radio 2. Dave Grohl revealed that the decision to cover a Bee Gees song came after watching a documentary about the band and deciding to tackle it head-on.
Reflecting on the experience, Grohl shared, “I’ve never sung like that before, but it felt surprisingly natural. Singing a Bee Gees song was the easiest thing I’ve ever done!”
