In March, Foo Fighters were set to perform at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogotá, Colombia when the tragic news of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, passing away surfaced. The band canceled all upcoming performances to mourn the loss.
After taking time to process and grieve, Foo Fighters announced they will be hosting two tribute shows to celebrate the life of their late band member. The band shared on their official Instagram, “For our dear friend, our bada** bandmate, our beloved brother… Foo Fighters and The Hawkins family bring you the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts.”
The tribute concerts will showcase the remaining Foo Fighters members – Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, and Rami Jaffee – in London at Wembley Stadium on September 3 and in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum on September 27.
