Stranger Things is arguably the show that propelled Netflix to its current widespread popularity. Since its debut in 2016, Netflix saw a surge in subscriptions, and no other show has surpassed its impressive viewership records. While Stranger Things is moving towards its conclusion, the next phase promises to be significant.
Exciting details have been unveiled about the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things. This upcoming season is set to premiere on May 27 but with a unique approach – it will be released in two parts, with the second part arriving on July 1. This season is the longest yet, doubling the total runtime of previous seasons.
“With nine scripts, spanning over eight hundred pages, nearly two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime almost twice as long as any previous season, Stranger Things 4 presented the most demanding season to date, but also the most fulfilling,” remarked The Duffer Brothers, the show’s creators, in a statement on Netflix’s news blog.

“It’s also the beginning of the end,” they added. “Seven years ago, we outlined the entire story arc for Stranger Things. Initially planned for four to five seasons, the story expanded beyond four, and as viewers will soon witness, we are now heading towards the conclusion. Season 4 marks the second-to-last season, with season 5 serving as the final one.”
