# Frontier Flight Crew Suspended After Dealing with Unruly Passenger
During a recent Frontier Airlines flight, a passenger caused disruption by behaving inappropriately. The passenger, identified as 22-year old Maxwell Berry, touched two flight attendants, created a scene claiming his parents’ wealth, and even physically assaulted the attendants who tried to calm him down. The crew, along with other passengers, had to restrain him by duct taping him to his seat for the safety of everyone. This incident gained widespread attention online, with many applauding the crew’s actions, although Frontier took a different stance.
Following the incident, all the flight attendants involved were suspended by Frontier, albeit with pay, citing failure to adhere to proper protocols in handling an unruly passenger. This decision has faced criticism from various quarters, including online communities and the largest flight attendant union in the United States.
“Management should be standing by the crew in this situation and not suspending them,” remarked Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA) President Sara Nelson. “We will challenge this decision using all contractual and legal means available. Hopefully, management will reconsider and support the frontline staff responsible for ensuring passenger safety.”
