The popular Netflix series, Cobra Kai, which is a follow-up to the iconic Karate Kid movies, recently premiered its fourth season. Surprisingly, the team wasted no time and immediately started working on the fifth season right after wrapping up the fourth one. The upcoming chapter of the series is set to be released very soon.
Netflix has officially announced that the fifth season of Cobra Kai will hit the streaming platform on September 9, 2022. The official description teases, “Following the surprising outcomes of the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai dojo and pushing his uncompromising karate philosophy. With Kreese detained and Johnny Lawrence stepping away from karate to mend his past mistakes, Daniel LaRusso seeks assistance from an old friend.”
Netflix decided to renew Cobra Kai for a fifth season in August 2021, just before the fourth season debuted. Post the release of season four, one of the show’s creators, Josh Heald, mentioned that there are more stories to unravel beyond season five if Netflix remains interested.

“We have more beyond Season 5,” Heald expressed to ScreenRant in December 2021. “We are not concluding the series in Season 5… Season 5 will offer new dynamics and fresh elements that viewers have not experienced before on the show. It’s not the grand finale yet.”
