When heading to a theme park ride, some people like to consider what they would do if the ride were to unexpectedly stop. At Disneyland over the Halloween weekend, visitors found themselves pondering this scenario while aboard the popular ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ attraction.
A California local, Brian Rokos, shared his experience where the ride came to an abrupt halt during a scene featuring women chasing men and Jack Sparrow in a barrel. The unexpected pause left the guests stranded momentarily.

The guests remained stuck for about 20 minutes before being assisted by the staff. Eventually, with the lights on, staff members with rubber waders helped guide the guests off the ride as the boats could not pass through the water. The staff manually maneuvered the boat to a safe spot before disembarking everyone. As a gesture of goodwill, the guests were given Fast Passes and appreciated for their composure during the minor ordeal.
