Jonathan Majors dropped by Hollywood reps after domestic violence charges
Jonathan Majors, known for his roles in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III, has reportedly been let go by his management company, Entertainment 360, and his public relations firm, the Lede Company, due to issues surrounding his behavior.
The decision came after Majors was arrested on March 25 in New York City on charges of assault and harassment following an alleged domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman, reportedly his partner. The woman sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was taken to the hospital. The Manhattan district attorney’s office is currently investigating the incident.
In addition to being dropped by his representatives, Majors is no longer attached to upcoming projects, including an Otis Redding biopic. He was also set to attend the Met Gala representing Valentino but mutually agreed not to attend after the events unfolded.
Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, released a statement on March 27 asserting his innocence, claiming he was a victim in an altercation with a known woman. Chaudhry mentioned they are gathering evidence to present to the District Attorney in hopes of having all charges dropped promptly.
Despite the recent controversies, there have been no discussions at Marvel about separating from Majors, who has completed filming the second season of Loki, reprising his role as Kang the Conqueror.
Earlier this year, Majors had successful moments, presenting at the Oscars and starring in top box office hits. His future projects, including the Searchlight film Magazine Dreams, were gaining attention. However, these latest events have caused a setback in his career as his management and PR representation have cut ties.
The incident has once again brought attention to the issue of domestic violence in Hollywood, emphasizing the importance of accountability for those involved. As the investigation continues, the future trajectory of Jonathan Majors’ career and personal life remains uncertain.
