Recently, Samuel Rauda, a makeup artist known for working with Kylie Jenner, was seriously injured in an accident and had to undergo surgery. To help him, Jenner shared a GoFundMe page set up by Rauda’s family with a $120,000 target for his medical expenses.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Jenner wrote, “May God watch over you and protect you @makeupbysamuel everyone take a moment to say a prayer for Sam who got into an accident this past weekend. And swipe up to visit his family’s GoFundMe.”
However, the issue arose when people realized that although Jenner is worth more than $700 million, she only donated $5,000 to the campaign. This sparked criticism and backlash on Twitter, with many questioning why she didn’t cover the entire amount herself, given her wealth.
As a result of the controversy, Jenner faced scrutiny on social media for her financial choices, particularly at a time when many are struggling economically.
There’s absolutely nothing to defend her for. She should pay the bill & stop asking for money to people who are probably broke after 1 year living on unemployment.

Kylie Jenner makes almost half a million dollars every day and she is still asking her relatively poor fans to pay for her friend’s $60,000 medical bills? Eat the rich. pic.twitter.com/mxUzRsmgEn

It’s not even about the fact that she won’t pay for the surgery herself. Every single last one of Kylie Jenner’s sisters is a millionaire. Her parents are millionaires. Her friends are millionaires. But she asked the MIDDLE CLASS for money. This family…… pic.twitter.com/zFqeeBvuY3
