If you grew up in the 90s or early 2000s, chances are you’ve watched a movie featuring Lindsay Lohan. She rose to fame with her role in the Disney movie remake of The Parent Trap and went on to star in popular films like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. However, the pressures of fame led her to take a step back from acting and move overseas in the early 2010s. In 2019, she expressed her desire to return to the entertainment industry in an interview with CNN, stating that she wanted to resume filming and share her life with her family and fans. After facing delays due to the pandemic, she is now making a comeback.
In an exclusive interview with Variety, Lohan revealed that she will star in a new romantic comedy Christmas special on Netflix. This untitled film is part of Netflix’s lineup of Christmas-themed movies, akin to those typically seen on Hallmark. Lohan’s character in the movie is described as a “spoiled hotel heiress who becomes engaged and then experiences amnesia after a skiing accident. She is taken care of by a rugged lodge owner and his daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”

If the plot sounds familiar, it’s because the film’s director, Janeen Damian, has prior experience directing Hallmark Christmas movies. So, audiences can expect a heartwarming holiday movie with Lohan back on the screen after her hiatus.
