Maks and Peta Share Exciting News about Their Second Child!
Dancing sensations Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have delighted their followers by disclosing the gender of their upcoming baby in a sweet Instagram post that includes their firstborn, Shai.

The couple, who commenced their relationship in 2012 and exchanged vows in 2015, decided to marry six months after their first child, Shai, was born in 2017. Prior to Peta’s second pregnancy, they experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2020. Overcoming this tragedy, they joyfully announced that their efforts to expand their family were successful.
In the Instagram post, Shai is shown revealing the gender of the new sibling. The couple joyfully shared that they are anticipating a baby boy, humorously noting that they are “creating their soccer team.” Peta expressed her excitement in the caption, exclaiming, “We’re thrilled that Shai will have a baby brother and can’t wait to meet him!”

Peta also shared that the baby is “measuring quite large” and enjoys kicking her in the ribs throughout the night. She expressed their joy upon receiving the news of their baby’s good health, stating, “There’s nothing like that pause before the nurses tell you everything is all good!”
Despite expecting another boy, Peta hinted that they might consider expanding their family further to try for a girl. She jokingly mentioned, “I guess this means we have to try for baby number 3 to get that girl.”
The couple was elated to receive this news just before embarking on their second round of IVF treatments, making it even more meaningful. Peta conveyed that the news has brought “unprecedented happiness” to their family, giving them much to be thankful for.
