Even if you are not into K-pop, you have probably heard of BTS, the Korean boy band that has gained worldwide fame in just a few years. With millions of album sales, billions of streams, and trending hashtags on Twitter, BTS has solidified their status as a household name. Recently, they performed their new English single “Butter” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, showcasing their fluency in English and sense of humor.
A few weeks ago, McDonald’s unveiled a BTS-themed meal, launching tonight in the US, the Bahamas, Canada, and eight other countries. This special meal is part of McDonald’s “Famous Orders” campaign, where popular celebrities curate a meal using existing menu items. The BTS meal features a ten-piece McNuggets, medium fries, a medium Coke, and new dipping sauces – Cajun and Sweet Chili, previously exclusive to South Korean McDonald’s.
