Netflix Sets Premiere Date for Season 2 of ‘Russian Doll’

Netflix has revealed that the second season of the 2019 mystery/drama/comedy series, Russian Doll, will be released on April 20. The first season starred Natasha Lyonne as Nadia, a New Yorker who relives the same night repeatedly, dying at the end each time. The show was a mix of intrigue, humor, and emotion, leaving fans eager for more.

The official description of the upcoming season teases, “Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan exploring their pasts through a surprising time portal in one of Manhattan’s infamous spots.” The new season promises an adventure across eras that may lead to unexpected challenges, pushing the characters to find a way out together.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lyonne hinted that the new season will pick up years after the first season with even more intricate storytelling. Lyonne expressed, “It’s definitely a puzzle box. I truly hope viewers will follow the journey and see where it leads. I’m amazed at what we’ve accomplished.”
