Last week, Sharon Osbourne, the wife of the iconic Black Sabbath lead singer Ozzy Osbourne, shared online that Ozzy would be undergoing a significant surgical operation during this week. Although Sharon did not specify the exact nature of the surgery, she mentioned that it would have a profound impact on Ozzy’s future.
Ozzy had his surgery on Monday, spent two days in the hospital, and then returned home on Wednesday. On that day, Ozzy tweeted from home to reassure his fans that he was doing well. Ozzy wrote, “I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably. I truly feel the love and support from all my fans and want to express a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers, and well wishes during my recovery.”
Sharon also shared her gratitude on her Twitter account. She wrote, “Our family wants to express our deep gratitude for the overwhelming love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery! Ozzy is recovering well and on the path to healing!”
“Your love is incredibly important to him.”

At the age of 73, it is no secret that Ozzy’s health is a concern. Even before this recent surgery, he has encountered various health issues and undergone multiple procedures, including hand surgery in 2018, a severe respiratory infection and neck surgery in 2019, and battling COVID-19 in April of this year. In 2020, he publicly disclosed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis dating back to 2003.
