Every autumn, like clockwork, pumpkin spice reappears on the scene. It all kicks off with Starbucks reintroducing their famous pumpkin spice latte, and then gradually spreads until everything has hints of pumpkin spice. If you were hoping for a bit of a reprieve before the pumpkin spice frenzy hits again when fall officially kicks off on September 22, you might want to start stocking up on non-pumpkin spice snacks now because Starbucks is getting an early start this year.
Yesterday, Starbucks made an announcement about the official return date of the pumpkin spice latte at their stores: starting today. As of August 24, the pumpkin spice latte is once again available at all participating Starbucks locations, along with the pumpkin spice cold brew, one of their newer fall-inspired creations. This August 24 launch marks the earliest kickoff for the pumpkin spice latte by Starbucks, beating their previous record by just one day.
Interestingly, Starbucks isn’t the first to bring pumpkin spice treats to the table this year. Dunkin’ has been serving pumpkin spice beverages since August 18, setting their own early start record, with various grocery stores nationwide already showcasing fall-themed snacks, including pumpkin spice items. It’s almost like Christmas in July, except pumpkin spice isn’t a holiday. Not yet, at least.
The date has officially fall-in! Starting tomorrow Aug. 24th, pumpkin returns to Starbucks stores across the U.S. and Canada, including the fall favorite duo Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.?https://t.co/7bMXAGDGhk

While this early launch may seem unexpected, it appears that people are eager to embrace the autumn ambiance, even though summer is technically still ongoing. Home Depot mentioned in an earnings call last week that their newly introduced line of Halloween products sold out rapidly after being unveiled online. It seems many are ready for the arrival of fall.
