Martin Scorsese, the director of Goodfellas, shared his thoughts in an interview with People magazine, saying, “He was uniquely talented, adventurous, and fearless as an actor. Portraying Henry Hill in Goodfellas was a challenging role, with many complex layers, and Ray excelled in almost every scene throughout the demanding shoot. He truly impressed me, and I will always be proud of the work we did together on that film. My condolences go out to his family and friends; his passing is a great loss.”
