Today, The Pokemon Company unveiled a brief new trailer for the highly anticipated next installment in the popular Pokemon video game series, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Initially announced in February with a 2022 release window, the game now has an official launch date.
The latest trailer confirmed that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will hit store shelves on November 18, 2022, just in time for the holiday season. Anticipated to be a significant success for the Nintendo Switch, especially if paired with console bundles.
The trailer gave fans a glimpse of the three new starter Pokemon and showcased gameplay of trainers exploring the new region to capture a variety of Pokemon and engage in battles. The game appears to emphasize multiplayer features, enabling multiple players to adventure together in real-time. Additionally, viewers were treated to a preview of the new legendary mascots, Koraidon and Miraidon, as well as the version-exclusive Pokemon Professors.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022. Pre-orders for both digital and physical copies are currently available at most major retailers.
