It’s safe to say that almost everyone enjoys french fries. Whether it’s the crispy exterior or the salty seasoning, fries are a beloved side dish that pairs well with just about any meal. Today is National French Fry Day, a day to celebrate this iconic food item.
National Fry Day is yet another addition to the list of dedicated days celebrating various things. It’s a day to indulge in a box of delicious fries, whether you prefer shoestring, curly, or waffle fries. Even LEGOLAND Florida joined in on the celebration by highlighting their popular apple fries.

Many American fast-food chains are offering special deals on fries for the occasion. Red Robin is serving free bottomless fries with dine-in orders, Wendy’s is giving away a free large fries with each app purchase, Checkers is selling all fry sizes for just a dollar with proceeds benefiting No Kid Hungry, and Jack in the Box is offering free curly fries with app orders, among other promotions.

McDonald’s is going all out to mark the launch of their new MyMcDonald’s Rewards program by holding the “World Famous Fan” contest. One lucky winner will receive free fries for life. For more details, check out the McDonald’s app.
