Twitter has introduced a new tool that enables users to add subtitles to their voice tweets. This update allows users to include captions with their voice tweets, which is a unique way for them to express themselves on the platform. Voice tweets provide an alternative to the typical character limit of 280, allowing users to convey their thoughts in a more expressive manner. Currently, this feature is only available on iOS devices, but Twitter plans on expanding it to other platforms in the future.
Compared to plain text, this functionality enables users to express themselves more emotionally through their voice tweets. It also proves to be useful for visually impaired users and individuals who prefer speaking over typing.
How to Enable Twitter’s Voice Tweet with Captions?
Users can activate captions by clicking on the ‘CC’ button located in the upper right-hand corner of the voice tweet window. Furthermore, this feature is only available for new voice tweets. Users can also combine voice tweets with text messages to provide additional context or assist visually impaired individuals in understanding the content of the tweet.
Although Twitter reportedly introduced this feature last year, it was only recently made available to the general public. Initially, it faced criticism for its lack of subtitles, but this issue has now been resolved. Voice tweets now include captions, thanks to a recent update on the social media platform.
With this new feature, when users create a voice tweet, captions will automatically be generated in various languages, including English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, French, Indonesian, and Korean.
