Thor has evolved over time in the Avengers franchise. Initially portrayed as somewhat arrogant with a regal manner of speech, he has transformed into a more cheerful and casual character, known for cracking jokes while maintaining his mighty powers. The success of Thor: Ragnarok emphasized that a more lighthearted Thor is more engaging than a serious one, setting the tone for his upcoming appearance.
The latest Thor-themed movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor: Love and Thunder, has completed filming. While the film’s storyline remains mostly undisclosed, it is expected to align with a narrative from recent Marvel comics, where Jane Foster (depicted by Natalie Portman) inherits the role and abilities of Thor. The cast appears to have thoroughly enjoyed working on the film.
Chris Hemsworth shared on Instagram, “That’s a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder, it’s also national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate. The film is gonna be wild, funny, and heartfelt. Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this another amazing Marvel journey. Get ready for an exciting ride in cinemas!”

Taika Waititi, who portrays the affable rock alien Korg, shared his thoughts on Instagram, “Sometimes two people come together to inspire the world and change the cinematic landscape forever. And then there’s me and [Chris Hemsworth] who are too cool to care about anything except making movies that bring people absolute joy. This film is the craziest thing I’ve ever done, and I’m honored to put in the work for you all to experience it in May 2022.”
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to premiere in theaters on May 6, 2022.
