Despite facing controversies, TikTok remains a top social media platform with over one billion active users. Known for its shortform video content popular among young users, TikTok competes with YouTube. To match up, TikTok recently made a significant change.
TikTok increased the video upload limit from three minutes to ten minutes. A TikTok spokesperson mentioned, “We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. Today, we’re excited to start rolling out the ability to upload videos that are up to 10 minutes, unleashing more creative possibilities for our creators worldwide.”
More tock on the clock! TikTok ditches its three minute limit and will now let users post videos up to 10 MINUTES longÂ

This change mirrors YouTube’s past evolution from limited video lengths. TikTok and YouTube continue to compete, adapting to stay marketable against platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.
