Each new version of the Windows operating system tends to face resistance from users. The transition from Windows 10 was no exception, with some users hesitating before accepting it. However, most eventually adapted to Windows 10 despite its imperfections because it maintained a level of consistency with previous Windows versions. This consistency is now a major issue for those who have seen the leaked version of Windows 11.
Recently, a full build of Windows 11, Microsoft’s upcoming operating system, surfaced online for users to explore. At first glance, users might mistake it for a Mac due to its noticeable design changes: softer and more rounded windows, a taskbar resembling a dock, and a center-aligned start menu, a significant departure from the traditional left-aligned start menu. Some older features from the Windows Vista era have made a comeback, like the start-up chime and widgets.

Despite these cosmetic alterations, there doesn’t seem to be any significant mechanical or functional changes to the OS, a point of concern for users. Feedback on Twitter expresses disappointment regarding the visual redesign and the lack of noticeable improvements or fixes, which were expected after Windows 10. Consequently, the leaked version failed to make a positive impact.

Since this leaked build is unofficial and may potentially be fake, the final version could differ significantly. Hopefully, for Microsoft’s sake and to avoid a prolonged conflict, the official release will present a more appealing design.
