Adam Sandler, a seasoned actor known for his comedy, has also demonstrated his ability in more serious and dramatic roles. Following his performance in Uncut Gems, which showcased his versatility, Sandler is set to impress once again.
Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for ‘Hustle,’ a new sports-themed movie featuring Sandler as a weary talent scout for the Philadelphia 76ers and NBA player Juancho Hernangómez as a skilled street basketball player with a complex history.
The official synopsis states, “Stanley Sugerman is a dedicated lover of basketball but remains a travel-fatigued scout for the Philadelphia 76ers with aspirations of coaching, still on the road scouting for undiscovered talent. His quest worldwide brings him to Spain, where he encounters Bo Cruz, an exceptional streetball player with a turbulent past. Stanley and Bo form a bond on and off the court, sharing a passion for the game and their roles as devoted family men striving to succeed in basketball and in life.”

Sandler’s passion for basketball is evident in his work, with the sport making appearances in many of his movies. ‘Hustle’ marks another collaboration between Sandler and an NBA player, promising a more serious and grounded film compared to previous projects. Hopefully, this film will garner awards, sparing viewers from another film like ‘Hubie Halloween’ as retribution.
‘Hustle’ will be available for streaming on Netflix starting June 8, 2022.
